Hi, welcome to H.C.M.Forum, the tablet you are using will take care of both the issues. but for regulation of periods, one should have enough blood. for that one has to eat proteine rich food and iron rich green leafy vegetables. thank you.

Welcome to HealthcareMagic
PCOs is a problem of cysts in ovaries resulting in hormonal imbalance.
To regulate the hormones your Gynaecologist has advised birth control pills.
Since they are hormonal pills they will help to make your cycle regular as well as give you good contraception(that is help prevent pregnancy).
Hope this answer is helpful to you.
Take care.
