Will Urine Culture Test Affect Pregnancy?

I have undergone 4 abortions at 8 weeks because of no evidence of heart beat on Ultrasonography. This time at 7 weeks of pregnancy, the heart beat was only 89 bpm. My doctor advised me to take Clexane 40 mg daily along with Ecosprin 75mg. Apart from these medicines I am taking Gestofit 200mg (twice daily), Fertigyn 5000 IU injection (Weekly). Because of recurrent abortions doctor prescribed tests for Anti cardiolipin Antibodies (IgG, IgM, IgA), Activated Partial thromboplastin time and Antinatal profile. Every thing is normal. However, the urine test revealed pus cells (WBC) 6-8 (Normal: 0-5), U-epithelial cells 8-10 (Normal 0-5) and URBCs 10-12/HPF (Normal: Nil). The doctor advised for culturing test yesterday. Will it affect my pregnancy. What may be the possible causes for this situation. Kindly help me. With regards, Srujana

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion urine infection is routinely seen in pregnancy due to changes occurring in the urinary tract under the influence of pregnancy hormones.Your urine routine is showing infection.But to know what bacteria is causing infection and to which antibiotic it is sensitive culture and sensitive test is needed.culture and sensitive helps in accurate treatment.So dont worry with apt treatment it will subside.Take adequate fluids upto 2 to 3 litres and coconut water daily in order to prevent the urinary tract infections.
