Will Typhoid Causes Hairfall?

hi, i maneet ,21..i hav recovered from typhoid ..i was diagonised for typhoid in dec ...i m havin severe intense hairfall suddenly aur texture become vry roughh ... i worried about my hair density .. the hairfall is sudden n is vry much ..also earlier i used hav gud texture, volume n shine..bt now my hair volume has been effected severly ..i m doin proper oilin ..
bt evry one is saying its id tuphoid sideffects...
plzz tell.me some solution to prevent hairfall and for d texture

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a diagnosis of Telogen Effluvium in your case. Telogen is the resting phase of hair cycle. After a major stressing event like medical/surgical illness (typhoid in your case) scalp hair is prematurely pushed into resting phase from the growth phase (Anaphase). This phase usually starts in the third or fourth month after a major stressor and ends by six months. This is a temporary phase.

I would advice to take a good healthy diet. Take a high protein diet because hair is all protein(keratin).
