Will The Migraines Become Less When The Hormone Levels Are Back To Normal?

I have experienced several migraines with auras the last weeks. Is it likly to be due to the hormone leveles? I had a child three month ago. Can I expect less migraines when hormon levels are back to normal? How long time can I expect it to take. I don't breastfeed. May Cerazette contraceptives help?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you have been diagnosed with a migraine and repeated migraine attacks, then Amitriptyline can be prescribed as prophylaxis. In a migraine, unilateral throbbing pain usually occurs along with nausea or photophobia.

Try to avoid stress, smoking, loud noise exposure etcetera. Check your blood pressure also. If you had done any hormonal profile, then provide the reports about the same, for giving more comments. Consult a physician for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
