Hello and welcome,
Cysts in uterus are very rare. You are most likely having an
ovarian cyst and the commonest medicine prescribed for this is oral contraceptives. Ovarian cysts are very common and if they are single and small, they dissolve by themselves and do not need any treatment. Sometimes they may grow bigger and then need a surgical removal. Also there is another condition called
polycystic ovarian disease where there are
multiple cysts in ovary. This is caused by
hormonal imbalance and needs specific therapy.
So please ask your doctor about the nature of the cyst and also the rationale of therapy. You may also upload the complete
ultrasound report [ if Ultrasound has been done] and then I may be able to help you better.
Please do not worry as most of the cysts dissolve by themselves.
