Please help! i fractured/broke my upper fibula about 6 weeks ago. I thought id be good to go by today but the bone is still healing. The bone though, isn t aligned. It just doesn t look right to me. The doctor says because it s not a weight bearing bone its ok and it will fill in. I need to be back for football and i really would like a 2nd opinion, I wanna make sure it ll heal right. HELP! thank you
hi As your doctor suggests, yes, upper fibula doesn't take part in weight bearing. It will heal in another 3-4 weeks with complete immobilization of leg. Then you will undergo physiotherapy for few days and shall be back to normal activity and back to football game. best wishes
