Will The THC Be Present In The New Born System?

I am 30 weeks pregnant currently. I used marijuana until I was 28 weeks and my OB (rightfully) called DSS to file a report. I learned that my child could be taken away if he tests positive for THC at birth. My question is will the THC still be in his system at birth (even if I test clean)? Is there any way to clear his system? And is urine, stool or blood testing most common for newborns? (Please note that I am deeply regretful of my actions so lecturing me will do nothing but depress me further.)

Hello ma'am and welcome.

I am not here to depress you but to only advice and guide you to make you understand the situation better. And unfortunately, there is a chance that your baby can test positive, but it is really unlikely.

You can test clean, but your baby can still test positive. Just drink as many fluids as possible and lets hope all goes well. Your baby's urine, blood and stool might be tested.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
