Will Taking Steroid Drops Effect My Episcleritis Surgery?

I have a blocked tear duct and I am scheduled for surgery next week. Three weeks ago my opthamologist said I have episcleritis. I've been on steroid drops and slowly stopped them ending last Friday. Now today it is getting goopy (green) and feels like it did before the steroid drops. I'm concerned that it will affect my surgery. Not sure if I should start the steroid drops again too. It causes my eye to be somewhat blurry too...guessing from the goop.
