Will Taking Synthroid Be Safe For Low Thyroid?

I take synthroid for a low thyroid. I recently saw an ENT for chronic ringing in my ears. He suggested I increase my thyroid medicine to see if that helps. When I spoke to my doctor's office they suggested I only take my thyroid medicine 5 days a week vs. 7 days a week to increase the potency. Does that make sense or do they need to increase the dosage. I'm currently on 50 mcg

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
I read your query and understood your concern.
The dose of the synthroid depends on the results of the thyroid hormonal level and not on clinical symptoms.
If you have checked the hormones lately and they resulted within the normal ranges under 50 mcg than you should continue with this dose.
If you haven't checked them more than 6 months ago, I would recommend to do;
-TSH
-Ft4 and FT3 level.
Attached the result and do not hesitate to contact me again so I can give you suggestions regarding the following dose.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
