Will Taking Femoston Lead To Heavy Period?

On Femoston 1/10 HRT and taken two tablets at start of pack. Currently on day 2 of period which is ok but I have two trips planned in Nov and Dec and will have a heavy period for both. Any chance in altering this? I also will same problem for a marathon next year!

Hello,
Usually, the medication does not lead to heavy periods; it may cause irregular bleeding or spotting during the early months of treatment and settles down later. There is individual variation and you need to observe for a couple of months to see if the drug suits you. Please get regular follow up and periodic blood counts while on treatment. You will need to change medication if you observe consistent discomfort and heavy periods. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
