Will Stopping Of The Intake Of Chlondine And Xanax Lead To Seizures?
Yes thank you. I am on regular RX s. Chlondine and Xanax, I have been taking them daily for well over a year. Well My apartment was robbed yesterday and I called my dr because all of my medications were stolen. He thinks I am lying (this has NEVER happened before) and refuses to refill them, he also advises me that I could go into siezures, what do I do? whats going to happen to me?
You are taking Clonidine and Xanax. Xanax is alprazolam and is a benzodiazepine drug. The drug is a brain depressant and abrupt stoppage of this drug after prolonged use is known to precipitate withdrawal seizures. As you no supply of these drugs and you are taking these drugs since last one year so theoretically you are at risk to develop withdrawal seizures. I would advise you to visit an ER as soon as you can to prevent these complications.
Thanks, hope this helps you.
