Will Steroid Treatment For Hives Treatment Cause Any Side Effects?
hi i am suffering from hives, and underwent treatment with corticosteroids and antihistaminics, and my course got completed yesterday, i still fell a slight redness which disappears in few minutes . I am i completly out of this problem, and i am worrying about steroidal intake will it have great effect on me
Steroids side effects generally set in when they are used for long periods of time in high doses. Because treatment of allergies is generally short lived and in small to moderate doses, there is really no reason to get worried about the possible side effects of steroids. Be calm and relax because your risk of developing side effects is very low.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and feel free to ask for more information should need be. Thanks. Dr. Ditah, MD.
