Will Smoking Marijuana During Pregnancy Cause Any Harm To The Baby?

I just found out i was pregnant and i have been smoking marijuana up until today pretty regularly. I ll be 27 weeks next Tuesday, the beginning of the third trimester. I quit today at exactly 26 weeks. Will the baby have it in his our her system? Will it be cleared out of mine by October 21st? Do they drug test babies as a mandatory in California?? I m afraid.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

How can you not know you are pregnant up until your 26th week? This is something the inspecting board might find difficult to believe. You would have had all the pregnancy symptoms, your abdomen should have begun showing and most importantly you would have not had a period for 26 weeks.

It is quite possible that the marijuana might show in the drug test, please consult a doctor for further management and help as we need to learn more to be able to help you more ma'am.
