Will Rabies Injection Be Effective After 5 Years?
hello sir a dog had bitten me on my leg in 2001 i washed the wound with water and applied dettol on it the wound got healed next day i did not get any injection then but i got 5 rabies injection in 2007 i did not have any problem during this period i want to know would those injection be proove effective

There are cases where rabies has set in after 2 years of bite. This period basically depends on the site of bite, severity of bite, which animal has bitten and the amount of viral deposit. Rabies vaccine will be effective for one year. Any bite after one year needs a repeat vaccine. Thanks
