Will Passive Smoking Cause Death In 6 Weeks Old?

i was told by my daughterinlaw that holding my grandaughter(shes 6wks. old) after i smoke a ciggarette that the smoke is on my skin and clothes, and my grandaughter could die of sids from her just inhaling fumes from my clothes and skin, now i know i need to quit and dont smoke around her or even while around her at all, and am seeing my family dr. on 6th of aug. to get on nicotene patch. so please tell me if i hold my grandaughter if she could die of sids?

that just isn't at all likely. On the other hand, development of asthma IS increased in this context. It just isn't FATAL asthma (mild, often kids grow out of it, but risk of asthma about triples being in a family where someone smokes).
