Will Ovulation Happen During The Time Of The Period Has Stopped?

I am on the pill. My period typically starts 2days after it is supposed to start and only lasts for 2-3 days. To maintain a 28 day cycle, I take the remainder of the placebo pills even though my period has stopped. Can ovulation happen during the time that my period has stopped and I am still taking the placebo?

Hello,

When you are on contraceptive pills, and you are regular with your medication, it is unlikely that you ovulate. Twenty-eight pill kits are made with seven placebo pills to just get the habit of not missing a pill. And those placebo pills are iron tablets so that your hemoglobin builds up, even if the bleeding stops you need to finish all the twenty-eight tablets and then start the next packet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
