Will Ovaries Cause Any Problem In Older Women?

my doctor wants to do a total hysterectomy...my issue is a prolapsed uterus caused by my condition of collengous colitis . at 62 do I need my ovaries? Dr. tells me that at my age they can only cause problems in the future and are of no use. True?

HI
ovarian cyst and malignancy is more common at the age of 60-70.
so it is better to remove the ovaries during surgery.
