Hi,

Beta blockers normally don’t cause pain. In rare cases everything is possible in medicine, but no. Muscle pain is a problem seen in patients who take statins, joint pain in neither of these to types of medication. Does your mum take statins by any chance? Then you would know who the real culprit is.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
