Will I Get HIV Infection Through Razor Cuts?

Hello Doctor , Recently I visited a pilgrim center (Tirupati) in India and tonsured my head . During tonsure, I noticed that the barber did change the razor blade but he used the same razor holding assembly. The razor holding assembly was just immersed in the antiseptic liquid before the tonsure. During tonsure I did receive 3 cuts on my head. After tonsure the barber rubbed alum on the cuts that he uses for other people too. Will I get HIV infection from these things? Please help.

Hi welcome to health care magic....
The chances of getting infection is less likely. In medicine there is nothing like 100%, there are always exceptions. The procedure he followed is completely aseptic and so the chances are almost impossible. If you are really worried which you should not be , you can get a blood test done HIV ELISA after 3 months and repeat it after 6 months and both are negative then you are rest assured that you did not get any infection...
