I am so frustrated to go from a size 6, to now a size 8 and 12 lbs. gain. What can I do short of surgery?
Ye, hypothyroidism can make you gain weight. However typically, one do not gain more than 3-4 kilos with hypothyrodism ( exception being severe Myxoedema). If you are on treatment for hypothyroidism and if the blood levels are normal, you should lose the weight which you gained.
However, there are number of other causes for weight gain and you should discuss with your dietician as well.
