hi i have had a thyriod problem for years i'm on synthriod 1.5 and i think i'm pregnant but three weeks ago my levels were 15 and my doc said in order for my baby to not have mental problems it has to be 3.5 or lower my question is if i got pregnant and it was above normal but then it gets normal how much of a chance would my baby have of having mental problems?

If at all you get pregnant while your levels are above normal, it mainly depends on the duration for which your levels remain elevated. But it is important to note that most of the development takes place during these initial stages, and so the chances of your child being born with various abnormalities is quite high.
