Will Having A Drug Coated Stent Placed In An Artery To Reduce Your Life Span ?

Will having a drug coated stent placed in an artery to your heart reduce your life span? Aproximately one year ago I had three stents inserted in two arteries to my heart. I didn t suffer a heart attack. My two arteries were 90% restricted. There is no heart damage. I read an article that said that the drug coated stents work for three years. The article did not state what happens after the three years.

there is no definite time for stents to be "expired",but restenosis is common and is cumulative ,time depened largely on diet, exercise ,smoking ,medications including lipid lowering agents and antiplatelets(aspirin and plavix)
