Will Excess Of Antacids Cause Soreness In Throat ?
Dr.Grief....over a week ago, I had a spinal injection for some leg and hip pain. A few days went by and a little relief noted. Then about the 4 day, I ate something that bothered my stomach and had stomach pain for several days. I took a lot of antacids to counter it. Then my throat became sore and has now been sore for a week or longer. I have had a good appetite but hurts my throat to eat and drink warm drinks. I had a physical yesterday and my doctor gave me phelaxin ...spelling may be wrong ...it is a antibiotic I believe. I don t think this is a cold because my nose hasnt been running, but at the time of stomach issues I remember a lot of aches and pains. Do you think the EPI had anything to do with all of this? I rarely get sick but when I do it is severe. Your thoughts please.
Excess antacids donot cause soreness in throat but the acid coming from stomach can cause soreness in throat. There might be superseded throat infection for which you are given an antibiotic, I suggest, gargels with PPI medicine from you doctor might help.
