Will Dupastone Or HCG Medicines Cause Miscarriage?

dear doctor, my wife is pregnant and now it is 63rd day (9th week). she is having HCG 5000 one time injection yesterday. also she is taking Dupastone, aldomet 250mg , aspirin, vitamin tablet and thyroxin50mg. just 2 year before miscarried at 9th weeks. have any problem of taking these medicines. also had any chance of miscarriage. 8th week sonar was perfect and dr. told everything is good. kidnly reply dear doctor.

Hello and welcome,

Please do not worry. I do understand that she has miscarried once and so you are in a bit of apprehension.

We do not always know the causes of abortions. Most of the drugs that you have mentioned especially aspirin, HCG and duphaston help prevent abortions. Aldomet is used for high blood pressure during pregnancy so please check if she has raised blood pressure. Thyroxine is used when women are hypothyroid so this is also needed if she has hypothyroidism.

Please do not worry. Let her rest and continue with the treatment and she will be fine.
