Will Draining Blood And Pus Formation In Incision Area Post C Section Affect My Healing Process?

Im 4 wks post op for my c section. a small area reopened. My dr used a silver nitate swab to close the incision. 2 days later the area is draining blood and some puss. The area directly below my incision is swollen and sore. I do see scabbing starting to form

Is this normal for the healing process? How long will healing take?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Infection is not normal for healing process, but once under control (you said scabbing has started), it should not affect further healing. Also whatever you are able to see is abdominal wall infection, it does not necessarily mean uterine infection. Healing from secondary intention (after infection) takes time. It can take upto 3-6 weeks.
Wish you good health.
