I am a 57 yr old white male. I had a back sprain from snow shoveling and used a heating pad off and on for 2-3 weeks until it felt better. I noticed that the area where the heating pad was is now a mottled brown color. Will this toasted skin go back to normal? Is there anything I can do for it. Also, I am leaving on a tropical vacation in a week. I usually tan very well with no issues and do use 30+ sunscreen.
I suggest using Calamine lotion for local application.
The symptoms usually go away in a few days.
