Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Repeated abortions do carry some risks.
I understand these were voluntary procedures, as opposed to spontaneous miscarriages ?
Now, as such, if these were not natural miscarriages, your odds of having a repeat miscarriage are not increased per se.
However, there are certain complications inherent to the procedures itself.
One - the endometrium ( lining of the uterus ) could be excessively damaged or curetted out in a surgical abortion.
next, there could be residual adhesions and complications in the fallopian tubes which could lead to blockage.
Also, peritoneal and pelvic adhesions could form up, leading to sterility chances.
At times, the cervix gets loose ( cervical incompetence ) leading to increased risk of abortions in future.
Also, psychological sequelae are well known.
That said, I have listed out potential complications.
As such, most women go on to achieve successful pregnancies and deliveries.
Make sure no more abortions are on the way.
Use reliable contraception.
All the best
