I have tired many antidepressants/anxiety medicine and it seems like I gain a lot of weight with them and I hate that so much that I stop taking them I am on citalopram right. I heard this one suppose to make you lose weight . Is that true? THANK YOU, HOLLY

Yes most of the Anti-depressants cause weight gain . Citalopram will not cause weight gain but will not either help to lose weight also.

HI Thanks for posting your query. Yes most of the Anti-depressants cause weight gain . Citalopram will not cause weight gain but will not either help to lose weight also. You need to do aerobic exercise and low cholesterol diet to bring down your weight . Diet : Low calorie low cholesterol diet -- Avoid Sweets , Carbonated beverages , Non Veg food , Junk Food , Cheese , Butter and Ghee. Eat more of fruits, vegetables and drink plenty of water . Exercise : Do aerobic exercises like Brisk walking , Jogging , Running , Cycling or Swimming at least 30 minutes every day . Hope you find this information useful.
