Will Bladder Stretching Heal To Allow Normal Urination?
my normal BP is 110/65. One day I had a headache and the BP was found to be 200/100. The next day I went to the doctor and found my prostate enlarged to block the outlet of bladder, causing the urine to back up to the kidney, creatinine jumped up to 1.75 from 1.2 ( a year ago). The doc cathetered me and 1500cc of urine was drained. Creatinine dropped to 1.57 two weeks later. My qustions are : 1. would my creatinine keep going down ? 2. My bladder was stretched so much that I cannot urinate on my own for 1.5 months so far. What can i expect about urinate naturally ?
Dear-thanks for using our service and will help you with my medical advise.First of all, it is important to treat the prostate enlargement in order to avoid the outlet obstruction. That was the reason of inhability to void and elevation in the creatinine function. There are multiples options to treat benign prostatic enlargement (BPH).The bladder had to make an effort to get urine out. You should start treatment to help to decrease the size of the prostate and improve the bladder strength and it might take 3-4 weeks to go back to normal. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.JC
