Hi,Irene PAUL,
Thanks for query,
Your fasting blood sugar is very high but it is not enough to stamp diabetes.
You go for,
1,Blood sugar fasting and post lunch,
3,Ag hb c test which gives one month average sugar level.
After all reports one can coclude about diabetes.
ok and bye.

Infertility Specialist Dr. Nandita Thakkar's  Response
welcome to health care magic
Ideally you should take the fasting in the morning 8 to 10 hours after your night meal
and followed by a post prandial value after 2 hours
170 is on the higher side and need proper evaluation
If one is diagnosed to have elevated blood sugars then proper control with diet and /or medication with life style modifications will help to control the levels
High sugars can affect the mother and the fetus
