Will Azathioprine Interfere Or Will Affect With Thyroid Tx?

I have fat liver, bursitis all the joints, lymph nodes are inflamed sometimes. Also hipothyroid. Lost 1/3 lateral eyebrows, lost 60% hair and still am loosing, gained wt. 30 lbs in 1 yr with up to 1200 cal/day. I think that all are related to lymphatic system . May be because the chemicals in the water, pesticides, or other causes. AST 45, ALT 43, ANA 1:1280, Liver = 17,9 cm. I am on Azathioprin 50 mg and levothyroxine 25 mcg, TSH was slightly high, now is normal value, but the symptoms yet persist. What can I do ? I am afraid that Azathioprin may interfere with Thyroid tx. ?!??!!.. Thank you for taking time to red my med. story .

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Azathioprine and levothyroxine have no interaction.
Your treating doctor would re-evaluate you regarding the condition for which you are taking Azathioprine and that condition is probably responsible for your continued symptoms.
Also it may be helpful to get full Thyroid functions done and not just TSH.
Hope you get better soon
