Will Abortion Cause High Tsh Levels?
hi i am 27 yr girl, unmarried, i got the T3, T4 and TSH test done on 5th day of my periods, there was no bleeding on this day as it stops bleeding after 2nd or 3rd day, and my reports says i have TSH level little high which is 5.4, and normal TSH level has to be 4.2 for adults. also i would like to include this small piece of info here, i had sex with my finance in sep 2011 and conceived but got aborted in oct, will this be a cause for high TSH level, please help..

I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I would say that because of termination of pregnancy THS value can not be changed, if you found high TSH value then this could be thyroid dysfunction and this need to be treated accordingly, in my opinion you need to repeat the thyroid function test with all parameters, take care and have a nice day.
