Will A Person With No Brain Activity Recover?

I have a friend that is in the hospital. She is diabetic, she did not have a stroke or anything, but they say there is no brain activity. Could she recover from that? They say it looks like she is trying to wake up, her eyes open every now and then, but basically she is sleep.

Hello,

The chances of meaningful brain recovery are less. Also, it would take a long time. If possible, share her MRI brain and EEG reports, so that we can give you a more detailed answer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sudhir Kumar
