Will Omnacortil And Clonate-F Be Effective In Curing Infection From Insect Bite?

I am Sanjay, had infection due to insect bite at back of my neck. My doctor prescribed one single dose of Omnacortil 40mg along with Clomate-F ointment. How it will be effective in curing this symptom? Please advice as it is very painful and spreading.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The omnacortil is prednisolone which is a steroid and would reduce the inflammation from the insect bite.

The antibiotic ointment would help to treat the infection, if the topical antibiotic is not enough then you may need oral antibiotics.
Since it is spreading this may be the case and you may need to re visit your doctor.

Using anti inflammatory pain medication may be helpful with the pain eg naproxen, ibuprofen, cataflam

I hope this helps
