Will I Get Radiation From Digital X-ray?

I am 15 year old female and I recently had a digital X-ray done of my nose. A few weeks later I was asked to hold a horse while he for a digital X-ray done of his knee. Neither time did I have a lead vest on to be protected from radiation. Did I have an unsafe or possibly damaging amount of radiation?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

You need not worry at all. The radiation was too less to cause any radiation risk to you. If you go for higher radiation tests like CT scan or repeated X rays then please ask for radiation protection devices that can be worn. These are available at every X ray clinic. The maximum risk for radiation is to pregnant women and they must take X rays under certain guidelines.
