Hi, I am 26 years old and had a miscarriage before 3 years. We terminated the pregnancy. Following that continuously I had irregular periods and a year back i was diagonised and doctors informed me that I am having PCOS. I am on clomid for the last few months. Tried one round of IUI. even that didnt work. Currently my weight is 92.2 kgs hence I am put on Duromine this month. I am worried a lot whether I will be able to conceive again. The sperm count of my husband is good and my fallopian tubes are all ok.
Hello Duromine is for weight reduction and clomid ( clomifene ) is for ovulation ( stimulation). As you mention that you are taking clomid from last many months as this is a cause of concern that in spite of this you are not getting pregnancy . As you are having PCOD , so please get in follicular study as size of follicle should be around 19 mm to 20 mm on day 14-15 at least to rupture and endometrium thickness must be around 11 mm to conceive. However in your case one thing is positive as you were pregnant 3 years back. So once again consult your Gynecologist and take his opinion regarding follicles study, ovulation study for conception. Also get in hormonal study of estrogen and FSH/LH ratio. Good luck.
