Will Exermet-GM 501 And Olmezest Increase Creatinine Levels?

HI, I am 54 and diagonised with type 2 diabetes.I had my complete blood check-up and my creatinine levels have reached 2.4 I am taking exermit-MG 501 for diabetes and olmezest H 40. Can these drugs contribute to my increaes creatinine levels. Kindly advise

Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Probably you have kidney damage secondary to diabetes and hypertension. Anyways I will advise you to stop Tab exermet and continue tab olmezest. Read my explanation here -

1.Actually tab. Olmezest can increase your creatinine levels but at the same time it is the drug of choice for patients having kidney damage and itwill oprevent further damage. Maximum your doctor will decrease the dose of tab olmezest.

2.Tab exrmet-MG contains metformin which should be stopped in patients of kidney damage, as such it will not damage your kidney but will lead to low blood sugar levels in kidney diseases. So ask your doctor about changing of medicines.

3 . Don't take pain killers before doctor's advice and repeat your kidney profile every monthly.
