Hi, I think you should go for evaluation first to find the cause of irregular periods. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound to see the uterus and ovaries. It can be due to some thyroid disorder or ovary dysfunction. You may need some treatment according to the reports. Duphaston is a progesterone which supports implantation if you are trying to get pregnant. So, it will increase chance of pregnancy. In case you don't get pregnant, it will induce your periods within 10 days after stopping it. So, you can take duphaston without any worry. Hope it helps.
