Hi and welcome to HCM
Firstly , dont worry, acne is very common problem in your age group and may persist till your early twenties. It is mainly due to
hormonal changes at this age and increased oil production. You will have to be patient and follow treatment, Occasionally you will have recurrences on and off.
Take a few precautions: never pick or squeeze pimples. They will leave scars.
Wash your face regularly even with plain water, dont scrub harshly. Keep it oil free.
Keep a check on your diet. Avoid too much fried food, processed food.
You can use your
home remedies if they help, but things like toothpaste burn the skin and leave scars.
The antibiotic tabs and gels given by
dermatologist are required to treat the bacterial infection causing your pimples so do continue the treatment as advised, regularly. They will also prevent new acne and fade scars.
Dont start or stop treatment on your own.
Since you are only 14 these complaints may come up now and then depending on various factors. Follow up regularly with the doctor.
You can also use a face wash like
cetaphil oil control or Glycolic/
salicylic acid facewash to control the oil and help with scars, at least at night.
Also do note if you have
dandruff or oily
scalp, this can also cause small pimples on face, chest, back, etc.
Hope this helps.
