Why My Left Testicle Is Shrinking And Gone Very Soft?
Hi Doc,
I'm a 30 year old male and have noticed over the last few months that my left testicle has shrunken and gone very soft. I experience intermittent pain ranging from a dull ache to a very sharp pain either in my lower stomach or scrotal areas but never lasts more than 10 minutes at a time. Any help would be appreciated (I haven't been to my gp yet).
You would agree with me for at least one point. IT may be late enough as the testis is soft and shrunk. There is a pain in lower abdomen and testis lasting for only 10 minutes.
All this indicates few possibilities. One is a recurrent torsion->a small surgery of a single stitch in time would have stopped the progress of this disease.
It is wise to visit a GP , get a referral for an Urologist- He would examine you clinically and suggests further investigations like ultrasonography with color doppler, MRI , semen , blood , urine and all.. Just follow his advise and go ahead with the treatment before it becomes too late.
All the best . Please keep posted
