Right side of heart is functioning at about 42% (as of March 2011). Woke up last night with headache, and complaining of hearing heart beating (washing machine sounds). Blood pressure at 2 AM was 136/66 with heart rate of 67. At 4:30. still hearing heart beating, still has headache. (Attempting to make cardiologist appointment this AM). Should he go to ER, wait on Dr? What is cause? Treatment?

Hi,welcome to HCM.
Elevated blood pressure can contribute to headaches particularly in the occipital region.Perception of one's own heart sounds like what you said can be due to any stenotic lesions post by pass surgery.I advice you to get a screening 2 dimensional echo to rule out such possibilities.Maintain your blood sugar below 110mg%.This persistant headache with palpitations requires urgent evaluation.Hence consult your ER doctor .
Thank you
