Why Is There A Sore Lump On The Base Of Neck?

Hi, I have a mole at the base of my neck and more recently I have discovered a lump under the skin in the area of the mole. It is a hard lump, but I can move it under the skin by applying pressure with my finger. There is frequent feelings of discomfort or soreness in the lump. Should I be concerned?

Hi welcome to health care magic...

Yes you should be concern about this....

This lump is movable so lipoma like lesion should be ruled out....
If you post photo and mention size than we can comment more....

Here as a work up detail history taken regarding anorexia, weight loss, fever, cough etc....

From lesion FNAC can be taken to rule out its nature of lesion....
If it is malignant than surgical excision might needed

According to cause further treatment can be guided....

Take care

Advise : surgeon consultation for further examination
