OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Utrogestan contains natural micronized progesterone.
It helps in maintainance of pregnancy.
Some amount of spotting can be seen in early pregnancy due to many causes like :
- Growing gestational sac can damage small blood vessels in the uterine wall.
-Increased blood supply to local genital organs can cause spotting even with mild friction.
-Possibility of miscarriage etc.
So, let her once consult gynecologist and get examined.
If she recommends go for ultrasound again.
If everything is normal, no need to worry.
She can continue the progesterone tablets.
If your doctor suggests go for progesterone injection also.
Take care.
