Why Is The Urine Culture Test Suggested?
Hi doctor,
Recently i did Master health checkup and all the reports are good except Urine test reports.
In Urine routine checkup it is detected that I have UTI with 20-30 pus cells, 40-50 hpf epithelial cells and leucocytes 3+,
My consultant has given me medicines ZIVI CV 200 (1-0-1) twice a day(for 5 days) and also i have done Urine culture test but yet to get those reports.
I just want to know whether it is a high level infection or is it treatable by the prescribed dosage.
And why this Urine culture test is suggested to me?

Hi there,
At present it cant be said that your infection will get cured or not because the bacteria/organism infected your urine is not known, for that reason you have been advised to get culture of urine so that the organism infected will be known, any how doctor has given you broad spectrum antibiotics to cover maximum bacteria in urinary tract. But exact treatment is only possible after culture report.
