Why Is The Fifth Metatarsal Most Commonly Fractured?

I have recently wanted to undertake a study in the bones of the feet. I am trying to figure out why the fifth Metatarsal is the most commonly fractured. Since you are a doctor I also want to ask what the most common way people brake this bone is. Thanks

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
No that is not the case, it is all the accident and not the disease, as in case of disease we can say that why the tuberculosis more commonly happens with lungs tissue so the medical science have answer for this, but for the accident it is not certain or sure which part of body going to injury, it would be just co-incidence that you might have seen the cases of metatarsal fracture only, otherwise practically this is not the case, have nice day.
