Why Is Residual Angina Normal After The Stent Placement Procedure?
About a month ago I had an urgent procedure to place a stent in my left main artery (before the bifurcation). All other arteries were healthy. Since then I feel like I have more angina symptoms and not feeling well than before the procedure. My cardiologist said its normal to have residual angina but, I feel like this is worse than prior to the procedure. Whats causing this - why is this normal? Also my beta blocker dosage was lowered but now my blood pressure is showing pre-hypertensive. Is this a bad combination - pre-hypertensive and angina symptoms?

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that after left main Angioplasty generally patients develop low blood pressure that is why beta blockers were tapered down. Consult your cardiologist again for anti anginal medication. Otherwise get a check angiogram done.
