Why is my soft palate dark red? Why is tonsil large?

Doctor please help me Nobody can tell me why my soft palate is dark red and vieny looking My left tonsil has always been kinda enlarge About 9 months ago I noticed it was real red above it and veiny looking Now the other tonsil that I have never had problems with Looks kinda the same Dark red on soft palate above it too I have these white spots in it But don t seem to be tonsil stones I know what stones are cuz I always had them I ve I m so scared it s hard to take care of my kids and think straightbeen with the same woman for 7 years I don t think it s an std I don t have insurance and I don t have money to go to doctor year and half ago landlord rented me a house with a lot of mold in it ever since then I haven t felt good I feel that I have some kind of bacteria it seems that I do not have tonsil stones anymore feels like my tonsils are not working properly it seems like I got these little white spots little bit of a more spreading

Hi and thanks for the query,
Do not worry. Soft palate is darker than the hard palate. It is even more dark in people who consume alcohol regularly. Colour of the soft palate can wary a lot depending on your race and even haemoglobin. Do not keep looking at it since the dark colour is not significant.
If you are not having any symptoms related to tonsils like pain, soreness then you can just forget about it. Size of the tonsils does not matter if they are not causing symptoms.
So, rest easy,.. nothing to worry.
