Why Is My Period Lasting So Long ?

I'm 15, I'm 5'1 and I weigh 100lbs. I've been getting my period for about 8 months now and it's still irregular, but right now I've been having my period for 11 days now, and I'm scared :( It's been just like my normal period but lasting twice as long usually I have a 4-5 day period. Should I see a doctor? Please Help!

Hello kat;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The irregular periods can be mainly due to hormonal problems;thyroid problems;PCOS (cyst in ovaries ) etc.Mostly in your case it will be hormonal imbalance and it may even cause a prolonged periods.There is no reason to panic and you can consult a Gynaec for opinion and she will prescribe the needed medicine to make your periods regular.
Thanks
