Why Is My Nose Is Red, Swollen, Painful To Touch?

One side if my nose is red, swollen, hurts when i touch it, and a little hot in temperature. It came in randomly and it wasent really that bad but i kept squeezing it and it got worse, what is it? is it rocasia a underskin pimple( cystim or whatever) what si it? thanks

Hi thanks for contacting health care magic.....

According to history you could have bacterial Infection of hair follicle of nose like that of furuncle like by staphylococci.
Second it could be acute inflammation of nose cartilage or muscles..

Here for pain and inflammation you can take antiinflammatory drugs like ibuprofen.....
Hot compress can be applied....
Antibiotic like amoxyclav taken for 5 days.
Avoid excess rubbing or itching of that area.
Keep that area clean....

If abscess develop over that area then consult Ent specialist for it as to do rhinoscopic examination and drainage if needed..
