Why Is My Bladder Not Emptying Completely?

My bladder doesn't empty. As a result, I have to urinate 8 times every morning. I'm a female. Age 64. In the past, I have had my urethra stretch. It seems like a medieval torture. What is the most modern treatment for this condition? Thank you.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have what is called as Post Menopausal Urethral Stenosis.

This is very common at this age due to atrophy of Genito Urinary organs secondary to hormonal ( Oestrogen)deficiency .

Please consult qualified Urologist for evaluation .You need calibration of urethra at frequent intervals followed by self intermittent catheterisation (CSIC).

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.and later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
